Dr Tony Mahfouz
Born and raised in the Illawarra region, Tony studied and trained as a Dental Technician for many years prior to completing studies as a Dental Prosthetist. Since graduating, Tony has worked in his own clinic located in the Illawarra creating smiles for his ever growing list of patients.
Tony's clinical and technical skills as a Dental Technician and Dental Prosthetist, led him to being awarded an Educational Scholarship by the NSW Dental Technicians Registration Board, graduating with the highest ranking in his class. In addition to his awards list, Tony has also received the prestigious 'Phil Harris Memorial Prize' by the Australian Dental Prosthetists Association (ADPA).
His continued further education has also allowed him in being a dental prosthetist who is also qualified to construct and administer implant-retained dentures.
Problem solving is one of Tony's many talents, and he strongly believes that his expertise and experiences in other industries are able to be applied into the dental field in order to give his patients the best possible outcome.

Dr Dean Licenblat
Dr Dean Licenblat Has been in private general practice in Sydney since graduating from the University of Sydney’s Dental program, and has also completed his Bachelor of Science with honours in Microbiology. He also holds a prestigious Master’s Degree from the Goethe University in Frankfurt with a focus on Oral Implantology and Bone Grafting.
As a “Diplomate” member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), the highest ranking achievable, Dr. Dean Licenblat together with Dental Implants Illawarra is one of a few dental surgeries to be awarded ‘Leading Implant Centres of the World’.
As a member of numerous dental societies and an unparalleled dedication to continuing education Dr. Licenblat often attends post-graduate educational programmes both locally and abroad. The results of which are integrated into the practice thus offering patients the most technologically advanced and effective long-term treatment modalities.

Dr Melissa Licenblat
Having worked in private general practice at several surgeries in the Sydney metropolitan area after moving from Wollongong NSW, Dr. Melissa Licenblat brings a tremendous amount of experience and professionalism to Dental Implants Illawarra.
Her experience is matched only by her qualifications. With a Medical Science degree from the University of Sydney coupled with an honours degree from their esteemed Dental Program Dr. Melissa Licenblat is proud to be the Sedationist at Dental Implants Illawarra.
Dr. Melissa is also highly sought after at other dental practices in Sydney, Wollongong, Goulburn and Gosford where she regularly performs Sedations for the dental community.
